The Concrete & Terrazo Craft

Explore the art of concrete through terrazzo, marbling, pigments, and surface finishing techniques in this hands-on creative workshop.

Participants will work with two different types of concrete while learning the fundamentals of mixing, pouring, curing, sanding, polishing, and sealing.

You’ll begin by creating your own terrazzo and marbled trinket tray using a fast-setting concrete mix. While the tray cures, you’ll move through a series of smaller creative exercises including making terrazzo chips, pouring a pigmented coaster mold to demold at home the next day, and painting on a pre-cast concrete art piece included in your kit.

The session will also include live demonstrations of decorative techniques such as decoupage and decotransfer, along with finishing methods used to refine concrete surfaces.

Once the trinket trays are cured, participants will learn the final stages of sanding, polishing, and sealing before taking their finished pieces home.
