The Wabi Sabi Arc | Kintsugi + Sumi-e Painting Workshop
INR 2299
About the Workshop
Spend a slow, creative afternoon making something meaningful.
The Wabi Sabi Arc is an immersive workshop inspired by the Japanese philosophy of finding beauty in imperfection. Through two timeless art forms, Kintsugi and Sumi-e, you'll experience the joy of creating without the pressure of getting everything right.
You'll begin by carefully breaking and rebuilding your own ceramic piece using the principles of Kintsugi, transforming every crack into part of its story. While your piece sets, you'll be guided through Sumi-e, the traditional art of Japanese ink painting, where simple brushstrokes become expressive works of art.
Finally, you'll return to your ceramic piece and finish it by painting the repaired seams with gold, bringing your creation to life.
By the end of the workshop, you'll leave with two handmade artworks, a deeper appreciation for these centuries-old Japanese traditions, and the quiet satisfaction of having spent a few hours creating with your own hands.
No prior experience is needed. We'll provide all the materials and guide you through every step.
